North Carolina State Parks cancellation policy for campsites
- Every reservation: a $3 service fee per site per night, not refunded.
- Any cancellation: a $15 cancellation fee.
- On the arrival date: one night's camping as well; a one-night stay gets no refund.
- Moving to a later date: free, at least 24 hours before arrival.
- No-show: no refund.
How far ahead: up to 6 months, to the day, before arrival.
A camper who hasn't arrived or called by 3 p.m. the day after arrival is a no-show, and the site goes back to other campers.
From NC State Parks' camping page, read Oct 5, 2026. Cabins, yurts and group sites often have their own rules; this is the one for campsites.
