New York State Parks cancellation policy for campsites
- Every reservation: a $7.25 reservation fee that isn't refunded.
- 8 days or more before arrival: a $7.25 cancellation fee on top of it.
- 7 days or less: both fees plus the cost of the first night.
- When you can cancel: online any time up to midnight on your arrival day. A no-show forfeits all fees.
How far ahead: up to nine months before arrival.
A site nobody has registered by 9:00 PM on its first night is a no-show and, in the park's words, "subject to re-rental".
From New York State Parks' cancellation policies and the fee policy on its reservation site, read Oct 4, 2026. Cabins, yurts and group sites often have their own rules; this is the one for campsites.
