Yosemite / Reservation dates

Yosemite campground reservation dates

All 13 Yosemite campgrounds go on sale on Recreation.gov at 7am Pacific, on one of four schedules. Upper, Lower and North Pines, Wawona and Hodgdon Meadow go on the 15th of each month, five months ahead. Half of Tuolumne Meadows goes on the 15th, two months ahead. The other half of Tuolumne and six summer campgrounds go 14 days before each arrival date, a new night every morning. Camp 4 goes 7 days before. North Pines adds a lottery before its season.

When does my date go on sale?

How the October 15 release went

Upper Pines put arrivals Feb 15 – Mar 14, 2027 on sale at 7am Pacific: 2,077 site-nights, besides 369 already reserved by stays that started earlier. We read the calendar just before 7:00 and through the morning:

Our read (Pacific)Taken since 7:00Still on sale
7:00 AM02,077
7:02 AM8281,249
7:05 AM9101,167
7:15 AM1,0631,014
7:30 AM9521,125
8:00 AM9791,098
10:00 AM1,090987

111 site-nights came back on sale after the rush: 1,063 were taken at our 7:15 read, 952 at 7:30. Recreation.gov locks a site in your cart for 15 minutes and releases it if checkout isn't finished, so the 7:00 carts nobody paid for go back on sale from about 7:15. Missed it at 7:00? Look again at 7:15, or let a watch on your dates tell you the moment one comes back.

Each time is when our read happened. A site taken and let go between two reads isn't seen, so "came back" is a floor. Nights that sold out still come back when people cancel: cancellations we've caught →

How booked the released dates are

Our cancellation tracker reads every site-night at these campgrounds, so we can say how much of each release is already gone. Fri/Sat = Friday and Saturday nights.

Rolling windows

On the 14-day campgrounds, each morning at 7am Pacific the night two weeks out goes on sale, so missing one morning isn't missing the season. Camp 4 does the same 7 days out. A rolling-window night stays on sale until it's booked, and booked nights come back when people cancel.

Schedules and seasons from the Park Service's Camping in Yosemite page (last updated September 11, 2026), read October 1, 2026. We checked them against Recreation.gov's own calendars that morning: Upper Pines was on sale through arrival February 14, 2027 (the September 15 release), and Camp 4 through six days out before the 7am release. Seasons shift year to year, so confirm on Recreation.gov. Where to camp: our Yosemite campground pages. What comes back: cancellations we've caught. Other national parks: when their campgrounds go on sale.
