When do Point Reyes National Seashore campground reservations open?

Recreation.gov sells most campgrounds six months ahead, one more arrival night every morning at 7am Pacific. Not all of them, though: some use a shorter window, and some release a month at a time. Here is each Point Reyes campground on Recreation.gov with the window read from its own calendar, the last arrival on sale today and the next release.

Some campgrounds sell part of their sites on a shorter window than the rest. Its calendar shows where the shorter window ends; the sites still on sale past that night are on a longer one, which its Recreation.gov page describes.

How fast the newest night goes

A night can be partly gone the morning it goes on sale: stays that start on an earlier night run into it. When we last read each calendar, the newest arrival on sale already had this many sites reserved:

Booked out on your dates?

Booked nights come back when people cancel, with no announcement, at any hour. Tent & Tree watches every site at a campground and emails you the moment one opens on your dates, with a link that opens that site on Recreation.gov with the nights already picked. An alert on a night that isn't on sale yet also emails you the evening before it goes on sale. Free during early access.

Only campgrounds that take reservations on Recreation.gov are listed: first-come, first-served campgrounds and any a park concessioner books on its own site aren't. Group sites aren't listed. Recreation.gov's rules quoted from its tips for booking popular campgrounds ("most campsites can be booked six months prior to your arrival date", "Most campgrounds go on sale at 7am PT/8am MT/10am ET, but not always!"); a campground's own time is on its Seasons and Fees tab. Each window is read from the campground's Recreation.gov calendar and rules about once a day, and each season's dates from its Seasons and Fees tab; a season's first night goes on sale the morning its window reaches it. Where Recreation.gov publishes its own release schedule for a campground (the Booking Window on its campground page), the last arrival on sale and the next release are that schedule's, read with the window.
