In the last 30 days, 215 booked site-nights at Silver Lake came back up (85 of them Friday or Saturday nights). Of the 95 that someone rebooked, at least half were gone within 440 minutes, and 10 within an hour.

The 7am release here
Arrivals on Saturday, May 1, 2027 went on sale at 7am Pacific on Sunday, November 1. 21 of its 63 sites were already reserved, by stays that started on an earlier night. Of the 42 sites that went on sale, 42 were still open at our 7:17 AM read.

Silver Lake Campground cancellation policy
Cancel by 11:59 p.m. two days before you arrive (Wednesday night for a Friday arrival) and you lose only the $10 fee; after that you also lose the first night. That's Recreation.gov's site-wide rule, but this campground's page still carries an older copy that starts the late window at 12:01 a.m. Eastern, which is 9:01 p.m. Pacific two evenings before you arrive. Cancel by 9 p.m. Pacific to be safe.
